With the administration change and the looming tariffs, has anyone’s place of work began to prepare for these changes? I have heard people online say their companies have began to stock pile raw materials while cost is still low.

My understanding is that preparations have been ongoing, but I'm not up on the details. I have seen stories on the CBS Evening News about companies stockpiling parts and materials, so it's a real thing happening out there. There were also stories on social media, so I don't know how credible they are, about companies canceling Christmas bonuses as they needed to cut costs to prepare for the tariff chaos. Which means people voted because they were spun about whatever controversy excited them, and they voted away their Christmas bonus. Great job, America!

What does the EV tax credit have to do with the big three’s layoffs of predominately union employees? All three invested in EVs. Isn’t the fact that the layoffs are primarily affecting UAW workers a much stronger correlation?

We have been starting to stockpile a lot of extra materials in our warehouse just in case. We don’t expect it to change much but it could.

You know what my organization has been like stockpiling some of our materials too, but I didn’t put that together. It was because of the upcoming tariffs. I don’t know. I guess I just thought it was getting ready for next year, but you know what that might be why that’s happening. Oh man next year is gonna be rough y’all
