I work in sales as a coordinator and do a bunch of paperwork with customers online. I LOVE PEOPLE but dread going to work everyday (wfh 3x a week) because the environment is toxic. I just found out that the only positive manager on my team is leaving. I am spiraling. I have a BS in Health Science (no chemistry classes taken and minimal biology education). Where are people happy in their careers? What careers are best for young women with ADHD? Who’s hiring?

I was hoping someone could give me some advice. I’ve been taking care of my extremely sick (literally on the verge of dying) dog. I work from home so it’s not too much of a nuisance but I feel distracted all day long and can hardly get anything done because I worry about my dog. I feel like I’d benefit from a day off or even half a day off but I’ve only been working for my firm for a month now, plus I have “discretionary time off.” Would it be okay for me to ask for a day off?

After you are stealth laid off, other than job search, what do you do? I assume they won’t give you work and even if they do, you can politely decline? Do you think all these violent and hate filled attacks are because people aren't getting the emotional/mental support they need, whether it's therapy at any age or help they needed but didn't get from a social worker as a child?
