Recently, a SaaS client (1k employees) that hired my old consulting firm reached out to me about a job opening - Lead BA working primarily to implement their benefit admin system for insurance companies. My current TC is 95k. Is it worth making the jump if the offer is north of 110k? Anything I should look out for? The client and coworkers were all nice, but I remember being stressed on the project due to limited resources.

Hello!! I am looking into transitioning into operations, but have only been in law firms for the entirety of my career. 15+ years in commercial litigation, appellate, and family law. What would you as other operators recommend as stepping stones to a legal ops role?? As things start to open up fully, some of my institutional clients are sending notices that we are expected to do X activity over zoom from here on out (things we used to do in person). Clearly it’s a cost cutting measure. Anyone else feel like filing for telephonic appearance so the insurance company can save a buck isn’t going to sit well with judges who prefer in person attendance? I hope they deny all of them so my billables don’t suffer. Less travel = more desk bs I have to do to hit quota

Career Sabbatical?

Can anyone who has taken a career sabbatical to travel/explore other interests share their experience with both leaving their jobs and returning to the legal field?
I really want to live in Asia for a year at least before I have to settle down and start a family. I’m not getting younger but don’t want to be reckless with my career.

Once upon a time, I hardly saw/heard of any dot net guys, so thought Java developers will always be on safer side.
Now everywhere I see only dot net guys.

Hi I'm afraid to take up jobs that require to put a lot of efforts and responsibility. For a context, I'm a 15 yoe developer and I'm still working as lead engineer in my current company .
