I am currently pursuing a position to be a 401k workplace planning consultant with Fidelity Investments. I would like to connect with someone who has gone through that training and early hiring process to make sure I have a solid understanding of the position. This is specifically for the Raleigh/Durham NC area if possible.
So I just recently passed my CPA exams and I’m now looking for new opportunities. I’m hoping to work at a big 4 firm in tax and possibly connect with anyone working there right now. Please reach out to me, I would look forward to connecting and learning more about potential opportunities. Thanks!EY PwC Deloitte KPMG

Consulting for big 4 typically requires travel (slowly ramping up, but still has many remote opportunities), needs client work plus some firm initiatives to be rated strong, and offers money better than RN. WLB is definitely better than say a ER nurse. expect working 40-55 hrs week (assuming you end up in some form of operational /implementation services)
Nurse - Any MBA will suffice, save your money and build relationships
Prob not as good as a nurse but depends what you are looking for.

If you want greater wlb, I would recommend not working at big 4 consulting firms - there are plenty of other consulting firms/industries to get into and even like health software or tech companies love having formernurses
This is too general to answer. Healthcare is an industry focus, not a type of consulting. For example there is M&A integration consulting, IT/cloud consulting, human capital consulting, strategy consulting, etc….. all of which have very different WLB and all of which can be “healthcare consulting”.
Healthcare operations (performance improvement) and strategy (outside of M&A) will probably give you the biggest opportunity to leverage your clinical background. I would connect with some healthcare firms like Chartis or Kaufman Hall and ask this same question about your background specifically.
That all these jobs can be done by people with no patient care experience tells you something though. Depending on how far into the “business” side you want to go, any type of consulting would be open to you. Maybe also see if consulting in general resonates with you, and that will tell you how close to healthcare ops you want to stay.
