What's the salary range for a director at the Gilead Sciences foundation? There is a position perfect for me, but I don't want to throw my hat in the ring if starting salary isn't $180-190k. Also, any thoughts on the stability of their philanthropic commitment? There's talk of a recession; I don't want to go private to be cute a few months later.

OC, California? Depends how much you like high taxes, high cost of living, and homeless encampments.
Orange county is a completely different world than Atlanta. Yes, it will be more expensive. But you may find the California lifestyle more to your liking. For me, orange county is way better than Atlanta.
But I got broads in Atlanta
I feel that isn’t worth the raise, especially if you are to get a 15-20 bump to a SC.
I’d take 100k in atlanta vs 140k in OC
I really don’t think OC is that expensive, outside of Newport, Laguna, Corona. Not sure where your office is but look into Costa Mesa, Huntington, Irvine.
- Someone in LA, by way of FL
Ex-OC associate from Sape here - that office is full of politics that are hard to escape due to a very small head count. Depending on how much you value culture I would avoid.
Tech role - Big data focus ....
If you are close to promotion, get promoted first. It takes a looong time to get promoted at Publicis Sapient. It is the worst thing about this company.
Sounds like me OP. I would not leave for 140k for OC, maybe 180k I’ll think about it.
Do the salary comparison to see what your potential salary increase would translate to in OC
Push back and ask for more for COLA. Pull some numbers to back it up but it's likely around 30-40% increase.
