Hi fishes,
Does joining bonus is taxable??
Hi all, I just got a job offer at PwC for a senior consultant position. The salary is 30% above my total comp right now, but I’m just worried about the amount of work I will have to put in compared to my amazing work life balance now. Does anyone have any experience moving from industry to consulting? I need some advice on what to do. I’m still early in my career (1.4yoe) so I feel like I shouldn’t care too much about wlb, but at the same time, I don’t want my mental health to suffer either.

Worked with Accenture, it's not a wise decision under any circumstances. Pay hike will give temporary satisfaction, spending each day at Accenture would be a nightmare. Also, accenture hikes are negligible in comparison to ZS. Also, if you wanna move, check for roles at Fractal. Accenture strategy doesn't work like a consulting firm anymore.
Don’t come here man- hikes are minimal and hence the reason for 45% hike - assume no pay rise for next 3 years.. plus as folks mentioned not much strategy work - mostly SAP/BPM kind of work in Ls
The WLB and growth prospects are currently dim. However, this is due to ongoing consulting spend reduction by clients. If things are good at your end in terms of projects, people and growth, Switch might not be the best option.
Also consider if your June promotion is a sure thing otherwise you might regret later
