Good job? More money? Take it….
I don't have the details yet, but thabks for your input :)
Why would you feel more comfortable if they were still a client? I wouldn’t be very happy if a client poached one of my Associates. I guess it’s hard to have an opinion without more information, which doesn’t sound like you’re comfortable sharing. Good luck with whatever you decide.
Thanks, I don't feel comfortable because I'm worried that the reason why they approached me with the job offer is to just find it why we had to offbaord them. Why would they reach out as soon as we said we would be ending the relationship?
Are you aware of the reason behind the off boarding? And if so, does the reason change your opinion of the former client?
Does your employment agreement prohibit you from being employed by former clients for X years? Does your MSA with the client prevent them from poaching current employees?
Typically these things are all spelled out in your agreements because it happens not infrequently.
So, that’s what’s allowed and what you know about the relationship.
The next is - would you actually want to work for them? If yes, and it wouldn’t break any covenants, have an informal conversation. If no, the whole thing is moot and merely a thought exercise. Find something worthy of your time and brainpower.
Thanks for your comment, it's good advice!
