BCG. Very similar situation but different firms. Come to MBB and see the difference in talent and opportunities. First 6 months you have to work to orient yourself, then can pretty much do this with your eyes closed because youâre really PL level and consultant is easy if you already have the skills.

This is tough. BCG would normally the be least risky option due to excellent talent pool, experience quality and exit options, but giving you 6 months of tenure credit means your peers will be MBA c/o 2021 who might have graduated from college around 2014-2016. You are 34 now, so most of your project leaders will be younger and less experienced than you, and there will be partners who are just a few yrs older.
If you are ok with the above, i think the bcg offer would be the most logical choice. I wouldnât worry about the financial aspect, even with average performance your TC will quickly eclipse trajectories from Acn Strat or D S&O
Thanks SM1. This makes a ton of sense. I have no problem working with much younger peers; I actually learn the most from our C/SCs at D. Ideally I would have liked to join after B school too but I didn't get a shot at BCG then and joined D, so no point comparing with others. I was just weighing the options financially but looks like BCG comes out the winner in the long run. The only risk I see is the ability to sustain pressure in an "up or out" culture and to feel included. But there is only one way to find out I guess :) TY.
My .02 - BCG assuming comp is still a bump from today. More opportunity for the next move.
Well comp bump will be there but not very significant. But they will have a handsome joining bonus. Accenture will be a good bump.
Did BCG give you any tenure credit for the consultant role? Itâs typically, 2yrs minus any tenure credit, to PL

Yeah...had that discussion..they weren't playing ball though they are willing to give me a good salary bump. HR logic is u will require time to understand the firm, build your network etc before taking on sales pressure which is fair
