Hello dear peers,
Someone please guide me about the hierarchy at DXC.
4.1 professional - 1
4.2 professional - 2
5 Senior Professional / Associate Manager
Where does manager lie in this hierarchy .
Is it above level 5 and is it called level 6.
And what is the salary range for Manager position.

Mba or no mba? Associate title at some tech cos is close to entry level
No MBA, but graduate degree “expert”
Y1 EM would probably come in as a Manager on my biz ops team (unless you went the BA -> EM route and have less than 4 years work experience in which case you would come in as an associate)
Arrgh, hate to say it, but it depends lol. Our model is a bit more of a specialist within sector (say industrial products), but at the SA/M level, more generalist across practise (expect to be able to perform case work in manufacturing, auto, aero, energy, etc). So if a BA > Em candidate possesses case expierence that is specific to practise, then yes, else SA3 (level right before manager).
For us it's easier than in industry, given up or out. If you insist on coming as an M, and you don't perform it's on you. We hire the next person in line, it's that simple.
If it’s Google then L5 would be equivalent to Y1 manager. Even senior manager can rarely negotiate L6 as far as I know.
What’s your total years of experience? You’d be a Senior Associate here if you had 4-6 years (so if you did BA-> EM track).
Manager would be negotiable starting at 5+ YOE and 2nd year EM. MBA is not valued.
Is that L4 or L5? I'm guessing this is Google?
If it's L5 it's probably reasonable. L4 is fresh bschool or PhD grad so no go
I’m at 7+ YOE, from what I understood, there were only associate and principal levels, no manager role.
If you’re talking about the central BizOps team rather than the BU / division “Strategy and Operations” teams you’re right.
EM1–>L5 Associate is the usual path.
From what I’ve heard the team pretty much has their pick of applicants (it’s only 60 people), so they don’t budge on the above. What you can do though is try negotiate for a salary that means you earn more than EM1/2 and then push for the promotion after year 1.
