It could be your worst nightmare and leave you wishing you’d never left the nice firm. I did it and wish every day I hadn’t.
In all my LA experience, I have always chased the money. I finally ended up at an in house counsel for big insurance company and ya, intro pay was less but I am WAY happier and the flexibility is awesome! My money will increase but my sanity was worth more!
$15,000 /2080 (if you work 40 hr weeks) is a little over a $7.00/hr raise. Is any extra stress worth the extra $280 a week? Depends on your life situation. Family - Kids? Husband? Also will the extra bucks greatly improve your financial situation? All things to consider.
In the same boat. My job is excellent and my attorneys are amazing. Do I leave because I have to go in the office 4 days a week for a job that's offering 2 days in and a $15,000 raise? Decisions......Decisions
Don’t do it! You could be walking into a nightmare! Cherish the rare good situation you have.
Can you go back?
Don't do it. Not worth it. I literally did this and got fired 20 days later for asking too many questions. I literally was called into the office manager's office after only being on the job for one week. Stay at your nice firm. The grass is not greener. I lost senority, money, PTO. It sucks!!!!
More money, more problems could be the phrase.
