Hi Fishes, Y.O.E 7.5+ years. Tata Consultancy TCS is offering 25LPA including variable pay and everything. So just 15% increment on my current salary since they mentioned I am leaving my current organization within 1 year.
They mentioned 8-12% is VP plus 80k from that salary is paid at the end of each year. Is it a good enough salary for 7.5+ yoe candidate. Also any heads up for the things I should look out for will be really helpful.

Northern NJ, handling NY & NJ cases.
What percentage of cases settle and on what timeline?

I believe it depends. Ultimately I suppose they will all settle, with higher value cases taking longer

What’re the attorney’s fees that the 5% is based off of? I’m assuming litigation is anywhere between 40-45%?

Thats a little different then. If the firm is getting 100-120 cases at an average value of 70k, then you’ll make around 116-140k from the 5% commission since all of the cases will be yours.
236-260k/year is a great income, but if you want the “big” PI checks that make PI attractive, then put all your focus on building a book. Networking events, becoming friends with treaters, local state bar events will all help.
That’s a large case list. Are all of those MVA cases?
If these were mostly wreck cases, I would say you have a fair offer. A lot of premise liability cases go to litigation. You may want to increase your base or increase your percentage above 5%.

Hell yeah
I agree networking will be crucial for this position.
You will definitely want to network as much as you can to bring in your own cases as thats obviously going to be how you make the most money but that sounds like a fair offer to me based on what you said.
