Hello, I wanted to mention that I work as a sports commentator, specifically about soccer. I used to be one of the main journalists for Spanish media, but since I moved to Miami I feel the general passion for soccer is very different 🥲 The energy and commitment are not even close to what I felt in Spain, where some businesses would close if the match was too important. @Capco what’s the comms/content space like? I’ve heard lots of mixed reviews re: consultancy jobs, but that’s not my focus. Journalism is the best job in the world but I feel like people are less likely to take my work seriously because I am female. So it's like they automatically think the only things I would be good at writing about are fluffy little human interest stories. I'm just a reporter like everyone else. Is there some way I can tell my supervisor that yes, I do like those stories, but I like being a serious reporter even more?

One of my direct reports has asked about going part time. They currently manage special reports in a bi-weekly publication, working closely with sales, freelance writers, and an internal designer. Job duties are primarily project management and editing/proofreading. As the first read on articles, they need to have an understanding of the material (business/regulation). Has anyone had experience with job sharing in this type of a role?
