I haven't, but it could be a great thing to do if you are not happy with what you are currently doing in your team without changing company. Internal movements sometimes do not lead to a better compensation though, unless you have competing offers.
Totally agree. Internal moves are great for growth and fit, but compensation isn’t always the win unless there’s leverage. Still a smart way to explore options without leaving.
I love when people reach out and are honest about wanting to apply. People should t be shy about it
Same here. Honest and respectful outreach makes it easier to help and usually leads to better conversations. Being upfront is a strength.
One man's trash is another's treasure. Ive hired great candidates that have been rejected by another arm of the corporation. So I see how your scenario plays out all the time.
Usually if its an external candidate, it will be from HR or the other hiring major.
It goes down like this: Hey we did an interview with a Java developer, we will pass on the candidate but you are also looking for a Java developer, here's the profile, since they're already in the pipeline, if you want to talk to said candidate, go for it, but we passed.
If its internal, said internal resource is looking for an transfer, do you have room on your team, they are looking for some things that just isn't working out.
Hope that helps
