yes they deny if you are an LLC sometimes.. so you’re forced into W2. I am an LLC..
i’ve turned down work because they only accept W2. They say it’s too much paper work.. *shrugs*
Hey! If you still have these instructions handy mind passing them to me? Digging around here for more info. Thank you!
You can legally collect unemployment between gigs as a W2. You collect $0 between gigs as an LLC.
That’s a good point, thank you
If you’re in CA, don’t do it. AB5 Is a problem for agency work.
EP1 there’s business exemptions. It’s not the ABC test that everyone keeps referring to.
There’s also multiple FB groups out there as a resource where we are all telling our stories and making sure the politicians writing the laws hear us. That’s how the current exemptions were put in.
Some do, some don’t. I use my S-Corp (virtually the same as LLC) whenever possible and begrudgingly accept gigs via W2. Work is work so I’m not about to turn any of it away.
I’ve been LLC freelance for years. Worked at many large agencies. Never been an issue.
Whatever works. Maybe it easy to get work. Dont put up walls
