I have an eight month gap on my resume. Should I stretch the truth on my resume a little and say I was at my last job a little longer than I was? That would be better than leaving the gap, right?

Do you fill out all the fields on the application? I'm asking because a lot of the information would have already come from the resume or LinkedIn account.
