Hi, I'm leaving Citi in 2 months. It's hard to make this decision. I have an offer from a small startup. In citi, my previous experience was not considered and was reskilled to different tech which is the reason for change.I don't like to exit citi. As I like the company so much. But considering my current knowledge,I am in the middle of the sea.I am afraid now that the new company's offer would be revoked due to this recession?Or can I take back my resignation in citi before the last working day.Is this wise decision?
Any International Arbitration firms hiring?
After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

I'm serving notice period in TCS and my last day is in 2 weeks. I requested for pickup of laptop in the portal but I came to know that it will take time for pickup and I won't be available if they come late. So I decided to go to office and surrender the laptop as I'm in the location of office only. Is there a seperate request to be raised for surrender of laptop and how to cancel the existing request for pickup. Please guide.Tata Consultancy

a) looks bad, you’ll obviously disappoint someone, and it’s a small world. b) in the LONG run, your resume will look much better if you stay and get the promotion at your current place (ie you demonstrated your value, it was recognized, and you got promoted vs. just job hopping to advance). People that stick it out and advance look much better. Could be worth far more than $8-$18 per year when you’re further up the ladder. c) all major agencies have a similar salary scale. You MAY get what you’re asking (but I doubt it), but they will look to get you in line with their scale over time.
Also, you should have other reasons for leaving than just $ if you move.
Didn’t read part 2 of your post. I disagree with other response - get a research position of that’s what you want (although fewer advancement opportunities in research than planning).
$90k for a brand new supe is a lot. What data support are you using to back up that ask?
That is incredibly high for a Sup. I’d question it a lot if they give it to you
Congrats! I think you should push the company offering you if they can go higher. Regardless of what they say, schedule time with your boss and let them know you’ve received another offer & you would like to discuss a raise (explain everything you said above about your financial situation, assuming you & your boss are close). They won’t fire you just for asking for asking for more money so after all that you should have your answer. I was recently in your shoes & I took the leap & left. One of the best decisions I’ve made. Good luck!
if I get my promotion and leave a month or so after? My salary is currently $60k, I’ll likely get $72k at my current agency but I am asking for $90k at the new agency (TBD on if they give that to me).
I agree that if they offer you $90 for a new sup there is probably something fishy going on (at least in Chicago, not sure about other markets).
Regardless, yes, if you get promoted & leave after a month it will raise eyebrows & you’ll undoubtedly upset someone. Of course you may never run into them again & it’s possible no future recruiter will ever call them asking about you, but this industry is small. Ideally, if timing works out, you could use the offer to get a bigger raise if/when your current company promotes you.
I got the promotion! Which is exciting but my increase is slightly lower than expected and the thought of only making this (with ~4% merit increases each year MAYBE) for the next year and a half to two years is not a good one. I want to stay at my current agency but I’m at a point in my life (owning a home, saving for a wedding, desperate to get out of student loan debt) where money REALLY matters. Is the only way to make more to move between agencies? I don’t want to leave but I know my agency won’t counter — I don’t think they ever have and should I risk it if I’m not sure I want to leave? Do holding companies counter for mid-level positions? Any advice is much appreciated.
