Working from home because I’m sick, but feeling too sick to work. How do you charge time when you are clearly being less efficient/effective?

Been working freelance for the past year and I've made more money and connections than I did while at my previous agency. This is a life tip for young creatives: you value your own work, don't let anyone else do so.

How does your firm measure utilization? I work for a small boutique that defines it as utilization = number of billable hours/2,080 and full bonus payout occurs at 80% plus.

I got offered from IBM for almost similar role doing in CG today with 40% hike. Now after resignation CG is trying to retain with 25% hike.
What would be your advise ? Should I take it up on IBM new role or stick to existing visibility with CG on lesser salary ?
Both are offering on-site role in 6-8 months.

M/SM and above, why do you label a meeting as “touch point” or ask if you can have a “quick chat” when it’s something serious? Millennials like us always assume we’re about to get fired - I actually have been laid off in a meeting with that title. But at my new job, my boss asked for a “quick chat” to literally ask me to change the title of a meeting and then chat about christmas. Now that I’m in management, I want to understand it better.
