Every company I’ve ever worked for has no money ever for anything, we are 2 years behind COLA raises and forget merit increases. Am I just in the wrong industries? I’m currently in Higher Ed… I wanna work in HR with a budget to pay people and provide quality benefits! What’s your experience like? Am I dreaming? What industry “has money”?

Interviewing at Microsoft and they are doing a centralized interview in 1 day. Essentially I will have 4 straight hours of interview with a 15 minute presentation. Does this sound normal for Microsoft? Any suggestions for interviewing there?

What’s the best way to turn down a 2nd interview? During the 1st interview, I learned that the compensation for the role is not within the range that I am looking for and requires 400 more billable hours a year than what I bill now. I’d basically be laterally for my current salary just to bill 400 more hours. I also wasn’t aware that the local office was strictly ID. Firm website advertises lots of practice areas. Any advice? TIA!

Im in internal sales.
a few years ago my company implemented a "2 pack" to my pay pay plan. Where they would deduct 200 per month to counteract minimum wage increase. Fast forward to now, it's 480 taken From commission.
Anyone else see this?

Does PHR certification help in India, as this is globally recognised how much valuable is this currently in indian job market.

I made it to regional manager for a franchise by age 22. Ran a successful financial practice & sold by the age of 33. Took 2 years off and built a health & wellness coaching platform for my wife (medical provider). Then, the last 2.5 yrs, have been a top producer in Saas sales as a senior account executive. I’ve been told I would make a great COO someday and I’m ready to take the next step into leadership. Who/what should I be targeting next?

Anyone else manually tracking EE bonus/relo? We use ADP and the payroll process is very cumbersome. Looking for better ways to track this or possibly automate. Curious to hear how some folks are approaching this.

Partially venting, and partially asking if this is worth sticking through: I am a junior associate. About a month ago, I made the move to a larger firm. Since day 1, one of the partners has constantly put me on the spot, quizzing me every time he calls, which gave me a lot of anxiety, but I was dealing with it. What would you prefer:

Job 1: 85k at small boutique firm (3 attorneys). Standard benefits but no 401k. Semi-annual raises. No billable hour requirement and regular 40 hour week. Being groomed to be a partner on a 2-3 year track.

Job 2: 135k at large regional firm (200 attorneys) good benefits. 1900 billable hours requirement. Partner track is 6-8 years but not guaranteed.

I’m looking for some advice and/or to vent a little. I’ve been looking for a sales job specifically to pivot into tech sales and I’m getting rejected non stop and it’s really starting to weigh on me and ruin my confidence.

The positives are, I’m actually getting interviews- about 5 so far, I get to the later/last rounds but can’t seem to close the deal. I’ve tried learning from each experience, and taking that as growth for the next interview but it hasn’t worked.

I was recently (in April) fired from a good nursing position that I was at for 5 years. I reached out to my old ADON to get some information on where we had our vaccinations from and she told me that I should come back and the administrator that I had issues with is gone. Hello Fishians, I am PMP and CSM certified looking for Project/Program Manager role in Learning and Development. I have 15+ yrs industry experience in which I have 3 yrs of PM experience. I am not sure how much should I quote as my PM experience is only on papers and not in designation. I am currently at 18.65L package. Please help.
