How come in TV shows there are different salaries for different actors? And it's even worse when you bring numbers in. Per episode, there have been cases where some people make twice as much as others.

Serious question: why work in advertising if you’re not a creative? I know plenty of smart account people, strategists, data analysts etc. who would almost certainly make more money and enjoy more autonomy in a different field, or at least in-house. What’s the allure if you don’t represent the product?

Okay, let’s take a break from the salary comparisons. How much are you able to save per month/year? Strictly cash savings, don’t include company matches or returns, just the amount of cash you save. Include the city or just indicate HCOL, LCOL, etc. so that we have context. Interested in what strategies folks are using to save.

What should I expect for McK EM offer? The recruiter told me today $192k base, $50k bonus and $24k signing. I was also told an associate signing is $30k but the smaller amount is due to a higher bonus than associates. Am I missing something or are they lowballing me? I thought the base would have been in the $220k range but maybe not. TIA

What do you do when you feel the goalpost has been/is being moved re: billable requirements? Like there's a spoken vs unspoken? I chose this job based on billables vs salary and what I'm being told I'm expected to do now is 20-30% (at least) > than what was initially agreed upon. Given my other life responsibilities, this is creating a huge strain & I feel like this is slowly getting harder & harder on my spouse & kids. I'm grateful to have lots of good work but not sure how to course correct.
