Should I expect a promotion to essentially be in writing? This entire "promotion" seems to be theoretic over the last 6 months. I was about to quit yesterday and now the position I didn't think I was going to get is starting to come around;timing couldn't be crazier. Should I give them an ultimatum? I just received an insane offer but I want to stay.
Hi Sales Community - I’m moving from a Mid-Market sales position into Enterprise sales and would love to use this ramping period to enhance my skills. After being in sales for 4+ years I feel decently confident in my sales acumen but I never received any formal training or held an SDR role so I’ve always felt a bit underprepared. Question for you sales and saas guys￼. I work for a fast growing startup and we are billing around 200 K a month. I am in charge of the sales team and our CFO mandates that we collect ACH payment information on every agreement. The problem with this is we have to reel in micro deposit amounts from customers and it feels like herding cats.￼ I’ve worked for three great tech companies and I’ve never had ACH nor have I ever paid for services with ACH.￼ Is this a totally dated process?￼
Can anyone recommend a certificate or course that is actually useful for developing professionals and/or reviewing performance? I don’t want/need something that is just a credential, I’m actually looking to get some formal grounding in these two topics so I can overhaul processes at my consulting firm. What are some best practices for handling an employee with dare I say, too much initiative? They tend to steamroll others and processes because they are so fast at their job and rather than taking a breather when done, start digging around for new projects outside of their scope. We value them but want to ensure others are given opportunity to thrive too.
I’m mid-level in my HR career at my current company and an upcoming Master’s graduate. Studying for my SHRM-CP too. How did you make the transition to that next level? What skills do you need, or is it really just based on YOE (I am the youngest compared to my teammates, many who have 10+ YOE)? I feel like career pathing is not very clear at my company.
