I’m getting texts from my Director past 10pm on weekday evenings. What do you do to set boundaries with your leaders? How do you let them know that you are in their corner, while still setting boundaries?
How do you communicate with employees who don't want to wear masks? Unbelievable to me people still have issues grasping this need.
Hi! What are your companies doing regarding sign on bonuses for interns this year? We ended up having our full intern program this summer and plan to extend offers. Are companies getting rid of sign on bonuses for entry level employees this year? Any insight would be appreciated!
Any recommendation on where to find/recruit engineers with specialized skills? Specifically scala.
This statement made by a colleague infuriates me: “HR has the responsibility but not the authority to change disinterested leadership" Just makes me think what's the point then? Do you agree?
Hello I’m an HR Specialist with 6 years exp and I’ve worked with Fortune 500 companies and now I’m looking to transition into a people and culture role in a start up space but I’m having trouble with highlighting my skills to showcase that I’d be a good fit and have the necessary experience. I find startups want someone with startup experience. Any insight?
Has anyone written the CHRL Employment Exam in Canada - Ontario specifically. What was your experience like and how did you prepare?

You’re expecting a signature required package and all of a sudden mail man rings the doorbell during your teams meeting...what do you do?
A few days ago I was offered a role for a recruiter with a company. Benefits, PTO, pay is decent, enough to get me by. I accepted today because it was the final day to do so. I was then called by a recruiter for another company, in which they made me a better offer for a Generalist and I want to take this one. What do I do? I didn’t sign a contract, there’s no clause that states I need to take the position.
Curious, how many companies out there have a dedicated learning and development team? If you don't, who is responsible for the development of your employees?
Hey gang - what non-monetary retention strategies have you seen work? In the COVID-19 world, raises seem unlikely. What are some ways we can reward the good ones?
I have seven years' experience in executive search (based in APAC but have worked on global roles) and want to leave the industry for either an in-house talent role or a consulting firm. I haven't had much luck when I've applied for internal roles in the past. Do I have any chance at getting an in-house talent acquisition role, or is an executive search skill set just regarded as too weird/not the right fit for internal talent teams?
I’ve been tasked right off the bat with implementing Facebook Workplace as an engagement/communication tool. I looked it up and seems fairly easy, especially as a facebook user. But as with anything it can be a challenge to get employees to actually use/check it. So-- does anyone have experience with Facebook Workplace? If so, what are some things that have worked/didn't work for you. Do you like it?

Currently, I have an employee who is struggling. Missing deadlines, making false promises to clients etc. Recently, I sat in one of his development sessions with his manager, and I was shocked at how disengaged he was and how junior he actually vs what we pay him. After some further investigation, we are afraid he lied on his resume and how his experience. How do you go about a situation such as this? This is a first for me.
One of my executives thinks he is being endearing by calling women "Baby" "Gorgeous" "Sweetie" and he calls men "handsome". I have had multiple complaints against him from female employees and vendors. Does anyone know of any good training courses or advice that can help in this scenario?
Anyone know if that electric feeling when someone you like touches you can be one sided? Is that literally a physical electric shock or just my brain?
Is anyone else currently 5x points on dining with the CSR as of July 1st? Is this a special unannounced bonus for the quarter?
I interviewed for a new job, and my current principal lied about me to keep me. I know this because a friend was on the interview committee and told me about the reference call. What can I do? Can the Union help?

Assurance’s promotion cycle begins Oct 1, it’s Sept 29, and I’ve gone up for Snr Manager but early indications may have pointed that I am just at the edge of getting cut :( I’m feeling a little gutted from all the work and effort I’ve done in the last year to make it work, but I don’t feel recognised... cheer me up? :(
Are my chances of lateraling to a V10 firm doomed? I'm currently 5 years old, top-performer, but my kindergarten was non-target.
Current pay $72K, 11% increase 6 months ago. Should I ask for a huge raise again because based on research I should be between $84K to $92K? I'm a Senior. TIA
It’s astounding that so many white folks are willing to ignore the crimes of this administration all because we had a Black President. For 8 years of progress, the GOP wants to set us back 80. White superiority is a hell of a thing.
Can anyone of you may help me in knowing what Big 4's Transaction Advisory Services - Financial Due Diligence profile pays to Chartered Accountant from Audit background with approx 1-2 yrs of PQE.
