Any female MM/ENT AEs with SaaS or Fintech experience looking to make a move? Series D company positioned to IPO in 2 years. Would be wild if this works lol
We have sales people in Canada and the US, the Canadians make 150K CAD and down here it’s 150K USD, the Canadians argue they should be making 30% more than the US colleagues to be equal bc of the exchange! I explain the salary is dependent on the market data for them in Canada, WHERE THEY LIVE, and you can’t compare it to the US employees and the market data down here. Overall they are both in the 75th% for total comp. for their industry. Am I wrong?
Is 25k good savings on a 100k salary in New York in a year? How much of a blessing is to not have debt early in life?
I saw a retail establishment fully decked out in Christmas decorations a few days ago. I, too, love the holiday season. But it's not the season yet!!
Some people need a good hard lesson on the concept of saving as draft and sending later. Teammate was emailing all weekend long on random things that could have waited until this morning🙄
Hey 🐟, landing at DCA from BOS at ~1:45 tomorrow, flight to DFW isn’t until 8:05. Am I safe to assume I have time to go get on the Metro, to the White House, walk the Mall from the Capitol to (cont)

Awkward! Client in row 20, and your's truly in 2b. Would you move back to coach to sit with your client?
How do y’all cope with working in another time zone? Remote and supporting a project 3 hours behind me. Got calls late through the evening and find it hard to have a life outside of work.
Took a local project last December, haven't returned home in time to have dinner with wife, no more than 10 times. Fml.
Moving from a semi monthly to a bi weekly pay frequency. Got a bump at new company, but the paycheck amounts will be almost the same. Yes, 26 vs 24 paychecks, but come on! I want to feel the raise!
WFH with my three years old son around. Had to use a chair to block my door. Shitty mom
Anyone used Globalfit to sign up for 24 Hour fitness? Do you really save any $? Need to put that health and benefit money in good use 😉 - instead of buying a new fitness gadget! 😏

Went for a promotion this year, didn’t get it. I should next year, barring something catastrophic happens. If I leave for another big 4 now, about 20% pay hike, plus higher title. Ultimate goal is to
Riffing off an earlier thread backpacks vs messengers... Decided to ditch the back pack. What are some cool work bags (male) that that are client presentable?
Two Qs: 1.) How does your agency go about promotions? 2.) What’s your promotion cycle flow...2x a year or 1x a year? Seeing less and less transparency under WPP...

Working on a potential offer to join leadership team of 3 co-founders as essentially the CEO-1 for 2 tech delivery firms of <50 people. They've asked me to outline an OTE based in base salary and % of revenue, haven't really negotiated this before, any insights in how to decide my ask?
We had a blizzard that shut the city down (close to 50 cm of snow) and I’ve been physically unable to leave my apartment, and I’m going stir crazy. I’m in Canada and covid cases have been low, so we’ve been back in the office a bit, but now they’re up and I’m worried about what the winter will bring. At least before I could sit outside or go for a walk, but not being able to leave is not going well - I worked from my bed today which I know is bad but couldn’t even get to my desk. Any advice?
For those of you who have joined a new team since Coronavirus started, what have you done to get integrated into your team faster? 3 months in and I’m not getting almost any work from my manager despite trying to take the initiative and also asking to get involved with different projects and working groups. Any work I do get is mundane and takes a few minutes at most to complete. Any advice for communicating this dissatisfaction to my manager before I resort to jumping ship?
Does having parents/family members who are attorneys give someone a leg up either in law school or in the first year of practice?
Got an offer from Bloomberg for a product manager role in NYC. Current M salary at ACN is $170k with negligible bonus. Bloomberg offer is $175K with sign on of $25K. Financially not as much of an incentive to transfer. Anyone know if I should try and get Bloomberg to go higher or am I already at the upper band for this role?
My 5 year anniversary is 2 weeks after my due date (although baby could be early). Any ideas on how to celebrate this milestone given I’ll still be recovering and in the crazy first weeks?
Would you ask for a higher pay at a startup, due to the company not having a pension scheme for its employees?
Any 🐠 investing in property in Chicago? I know I have a lot more left to research, but it seems really difficult to turn a profit with such high taxes and HOA fees? A 250k condo with 200k loan, ~$200 HOA, ~$400 misc expenses like insurance, vacancy, etc., ~$400 taxes, and 4% mortgage needs around ~2k a month to be reasonably profitable (~$300 a month), not even accounting large unforeseen expenses? Is that normal? Should I only be looking at duplexes or is it an issue of supply of decent deals?
Asthma exacerbations seem to be improving with the dramatic decrease in pollution we're seeing with COVID quarantines
If I get referred for a role at Goldman Sachs, but see two roles that fit me, can I still apply and will the referral carry over to both? Or will that look bad? Or should I apply and wait and see what happens with the first position?
2 YOE at big4 consulting. Was offered a data science role at FAANG. It was definitely a bit of a long shot and it kinda seems like a dream come. The one problem they’re down leveling me to a campus hire. My reasoning is in the long run a 2 year down level will be offset from the gain in prestige and experience. Even still, it’s a higher overall salary. Thoughts on if I should take it or keep recruiting?
How are you managing your teams being pandemic-fried, when you're also pandemic fried? Above regular project stress, I'm noticing a significant decrease in resiliency across the board, and just less capacity to get things done. Not trying to wring more work from exhausted ppl - wondering if anyone has found useful strategies for helping restore their teams energy and capacity.
TFW you almost pass out in the middle of a client meeting because of low sugar/caffeine in your system.
