Have been going out with a colleague (we're both associates) for about a month; wondering whether to disclose...

My husband and I are hoping to have a child soon, but I don't want to get off track at work. I'd love to know how others have handled the transition to motherhood while competing to make partner.
Where is the best place to see sample briefs? I’m looking for a guide to show a defendant met the minimum contacts test for jurisdiction
Do titles in Law firms (practice head, executive committee, managing partner etc) mean more pay for the extra responsibilities, or not necessarily?
Struggling with this whole work life balance thing. Is it possible to have a semblance of a life/hobbies? If so, how? Most of my socializing is honestly in the microcosm of the firm (drink nights etc)
I just found out that my new firm reads all emails sent and received. Does that creep anyone else out?
Can I ask my senior associate if I’m doing an okay job? For context, we’re on several matters together and I want to correct any mistakes WHILE we’re working together, not ask about them after.
Recieved an offer to work in-house in a big (Canadian) market. Thoughts on starting out a career in law in-house? How difficult is the transition from in-house back to private practice? Any advice?
If there were no practical obstacles whatsoever, what area(s) of law OTHER than your current practice area would you want to explore, and why? I’ve been so specialized for so long I’m not even sure how to answer this question for myself. Once upon a time I was somewhat interested in tax but I’m worried that’s where fun goes to die. I kinda dig admin law, although that’s cheating a bit because I work with a federal agency.
I hate it when you go out and the waiter asks "sparkling or still" and then before you can get a consensus some asshole just decides for the whole goddamn table. I like my Perrier!
Dealing with baglog What are some strategies for dealing with backlog? While working from home I've had a propensity to procrastinate and now have gotten behind on several files. I know I need to grind to turn them around before the clients asks for an update, but that's easier said than done during the day with conference calls, emails, and new "urgent" work that doesn't stop.
The California law school deans are asking that the new bar exam score (1390 instead of 1440) be applied retroactively at least to Feb 2020 (which they should) but are also asking to go back to July 2017. As someone who failed July 2017 with a 1439 and passed Feb 2018, I can’t help but feel so frustrated with the State Bar. Even if they do it, my swearing in date will still be June 2018 instead of Dec 2017, I still lost 6 months of my career even if retroactively I passed the first time.
Is there anyone who is a med mal attorney in the New York area? My niece went to the hospital complaining of abdominal pains, the hospital sent her home and said she had food poisoning. The pain persisted, she we to another hospital where they did MRI and found two large ovarian cysts. She had emergency surgery same day. Does she has a potential claim?
Fashion question: are monk straps out of style at this point? I've seen bankers wear them but very few attorneys
Anyone have those clients who ignore your advice, then what they want doesn’t get achieved. They reluctantly decide to go along with your advice and (surprise)get everything they wanted.
What to do till Jan 2021? Just graduated from MBA, was going to travel in summer and start working Sept. Start date got pushed back and I have nothing on calendar for 8 months. First student loan payment due Nov 🤮 Feels like I have no tangible skills to apply for the remote summer jobs that I see
Have the chance as an analyst to come help start a project from the ground up, new client and everything. I know it’ll be a lot of work, should i do it? If so, why? If not, why?
Want to leave accounting and try marketing. My main client is an ad agency that I love. Is it against policy/unethical to apply to marketing (non-accting related) positons with them?
Deloitte folks: When you resign, can you return your laptop and phone to any office? Or only your home office?
Request for suggestion on how much Christmas bonus to give to our nanny , who is taking of our 8 month old son. Nanny started 27th Nov 2018 and plan to hire her until April 15th 2019. We pay her cont
Is Product Manager at Facebook/Google considered more of a lateral move or downgrade for a senior consultant from Deloitte? Is that the level MBA grads enter at?
Is your H1B petition scanned all messy misaligned? Just want to check if that’s normal or if I should try to get the lawyers to fix. I’m paranoid it might hurt down the line
Apparently the vision plan just covers materials. I read somewhere in here that the eye exam is covered under the medical insurance. Can someone confirm? thanks!
Hello!! I am collecting data about resignations and leaves caused by Covid-19 (specifically, if you quit or took leave because you did not feel safe to return to the classroom). This is completely anonymous. Also please share to anyone else it may apply to. Thank you! https://forms.gle/jkpDvo5B2UAgr6tN6
Have my OSCP and thinking about another cert. Interested in engineering malware but open to other suggestions. What security certs do people recommend?
My current h1b expires september 1, but have an extension approval. Unable to find appointments for a stamping, but need to travel to Canada for a couple days in Aug. Is there any risk in this if ...
I currently work at Deloitte. How bad would it look if I negotiated a comp adjustment (underpaid relative to lower performing peers through the same intake process by 10%; not using an external offer to negotiate here), received it, and then left? Want to hedge my bets in case I can’t get an exit opportunity but don’t want to burn bridges (want to leave open the possibility of boomeranging) which I’m afraid this path might do.
