I have a friend who just started a new job-went from a big ad agency to a small start up. The boss at the new job wants to create the company website to show generic work. No actual clients, just work with made up company names. They have many clients that they work with-but won’t show them online. I have never heard of this? Why would someone do that? Isn’t it counterproductive to show fake companies and work? How can they discourage their boss that’s not a good idea without offending them?

Pretty sure the saga of the slave driven company has come to an end I’m the only HR person at this company. Friday I had full admin rights, and went to check email Saturday; account locked. Payroll/HRIS locked out. PEO service says no pending termination is on my file. Went to the office today to get my things just in case. Located in CA. Was about to report numerous violations too. All because I couldn’t solve 8 months of payroll issues in a day. 🫠 Good riddance, I’m getting a lawyer.

Currently an hrbp for a medium global org with 10 hrbps in the Americas org supporting different groups/ regions like i support canada and a business group - looking at a role where hrbp report to sr hrbp and she reports to Vp of HR. The TA Manager reports to the VP of Hr as well. Sounds like a smaller HR team - are there any benefits to this move?

My company has ERGs and one of them is pretty large and includes a lot of demographics. I am not sure if u should attend the interview or not at GDS.
When I shared this scenario with my EY IN HR, she said please don't attend it may create conflict and you may also get blacklisted.

EY GDS HR is like, you can attend the interview, there's no problem at all. We don't have such a policy. Please suggest what decision I should make.
