One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

Devops analyst in Deloitte USI or Tech Support Engg. In Redhat.. Which one should I choose and on what basis? Package offered is same with slight difference but no joining bonus from redhat where deloitte is offering 2lakhs. Please help to decide..

I just got a promotion that will involve 90% travel, I am excited about the role, but I have kids and me travelling means no one to take my kids to day care on days my wife works as she resumes 6am.

Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.

Anyone else struggling with hormones / mood swings? I am almost 16 weeks and been having a real tough time lately, feeling really down and stressed about things. Sadly, causing tension between me and my partner as well as he cannot relate and seems preoccupied with business as usual. Trying to get out the funk and just telling myself it’s all the hormones.

Is now a good moment to invest (bc of inflation etc)? I have invested a bit over the past years and lost a lit of money- obviously these are long term investments so i hope it will get better over the next monthy/years.
