Have done the Google PM certificate. You'll learn many best practices (some should come across as 'duh' - if you already have had some real life experience managing projects). The real takeaways for me were to learn about those project artifacts (project charter) and the ideal processes (how do you close a project...). I do think you need a suitable corporate culture if you want to implement what you learned. Not all companies want/have the capacity to accommodate all the best practices
As someone who has gone through a lot of pain doing some amount of project management but not having done any coursework, go get you some training! I've had a fantastic mentor in the PM space but not everyone can give as much time as this individual has given me. That said, I'm also commenting so I can see the responses for course recos.
