2 years is not enough to take on increasing responsibilities, you are entry level and you should learn all the ins and outs of the industry that is your career. After 5 years then seek a promotion or jump ship.
Different people learn the ins and outs at different rate. A college degree is 4 years and some people get it in less time. OP might already know the ins and out after the two years.
Time to leave
It’s not typical to be promoted within 2 years. I feel like younger folks in the work place have unrealistic expectations. Are you a superstar with 1 ratings? If not, why do you think you should be promoted with 2 yrs experience in just one role?
Yes obviously not everyone
But at least good performers should get good raise and promotions
And it’s not an unrealistic expectation
Have you had performance reviews? If so, did you ask for a raise? I would think that if you had good reviews combined with overtime, that a raise would be in order.
As for a promotion, promoted to what? What is the next level you'd be promoted to, and are you qualified (i.e., licensed) for that position?
A raise is appropriate for the quality of work you've done. A promotion is a different animal. It says you're ready to move to the next level. Your tenure and amount of overtime you've put in have little to do with whether you are ready.
