What is an average salary for first year senior manager in core tax in NYC at a big4?

Would you take high risk / high reward consulting gig at a small firm? Comp is hourly and project based. Firm has a good foothold in the niche market. Offers lots of flexibility. But no benefits and since it’s project and hourly based it’s feast or famine. If you have a partner (spouse, domestic partner, etc.) and they had a stable job, would it change your perspective of taking the high risk/high reward role?

Need advice, if anyone can offer. I recently got a new manager but need to have a difficult conversation. I work in Fin Services and took the role I'm in specifically to get licensed with my Series SIE/6/63 and have been studying on my own. Some assocs start licensing day 1 of the job. I've been on the phones for nearly a year without getting licensed and just found out I'm not going to be in the next licensing. How do I bring this up? Or do I look elsewhere?

As part of interview process, Amazon had requested me to provide my salary expectations. Based on which, I have been told that they will not be able to provide my expectation and is offering my current base as the total compensation for the role.
Should I consider interviewing for the role or should I decline given the recruiter has been upfront that the maximum for the role is lower than my current pay.

-manager level role at a better name brand for $176k base, $58k equity per year

-senior manager role at a series F+ start up, fully remote, $185k base, given options worth $38k a year at current valuation, but obviously have to exercise to access. Like the team and role more.

I’m now 6dpt on a day 6 embryo (how’s that nomenclature supposed to look)? Not allowed to test for another full week - Monday is day 13. Today I woke up laden with cramps. Been tryin to play it off all day but I’m laid out on the sofa in fetal position. My Dr told me to avoid heat and meds and warned me not to test. This is like a 7 on the pain scale- prob worse than period cramps and kind of like my stomach is irritable but lower. Any tips? Am I psyching myself out to think this is it??
