Nice, thatll open up a spot for me
Nope because they will save money by making the other coworkers cover OP’s workload.
Just gather your facts. KPMG publishes their pay scale so start with that. You don’t need to say you got another offer - just gather any ”ads” from other firms, your stats compared to others, your performance ratings and when they lowball push back firmly but not arrogantly and ask for 25% if the stats show it. Then you likely will get 20%.
1650 billable is on target for a senior. Check your realization rate. If that’s also high then you should have a bit of leverage, but bring the data to prove it, just don’t bring attitude. A calm “I have been watching the market, others salaries, and my relative performance - based on these factors I believe a salary of X is appropriate.”
Have fun walkin
🚶🚶🚶
Get to steppin
Good luck with that
Thank you
This your promo year?
No sir (ma’am)
Wear your boots and start walking! This is not a year to demand such a high increase. My two cents.
We’re doing better than last year, so I don’t see why not
🤑
Only thing that wakes me up in the morning
🤣
See ya punk
I did that in December but they countered with 0%. So I lowered my demand to 5% and they still stayed at 0%. Kudos to them for making my decision to quit very easy.
lol countering with 0% is crazy. I’m not sure if 20% is my actual walking point. I’m sure if I get 19% I’ll stay. If I get 0%…. I’m not demanding anything. I’m quitting in that same conversation
I’m afraid you’ll be walking bucko
All the best
Kpmg publishes their pay scale? I had no idea. Just googled and the dropdown on the website I found had no options lol.
I understand where you’re coming from, but if I have to negotiate for what I think is a fair salary, it’s not the place for me long term. Even if it works, which it might, then it’ll be the same dance next year.
Appreciate all the insight. Last I heard I should be in well above, but haven’t asked/been told anything about that since the beginning of the year. I think we have performance discussions coming up so I’ll use that as an opportunity to have the discussion.
Still not sure how I feel about bringing up a number at that point, but definitely going to think about it
Have to agree. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out
