Just got offered a job at a small biotech in London (UK). ~£45k plus bonus but only 1YR FTC and no equity.

Pretty sure it's a discovery role too.

I just finished my PhD at a very good uni with 3 years technician experience before that. BSc and MSc also at very good unis with good grades.

Deciding on a career path

I feel like my brain works like a consultant, and I would enjoy consulting, but I also looove all things finance & investing. Anyone feel as if it’s hard to stay with a company when you’re the only one of color? (&young) I’ve work for 3 companies in past 5 years and have yet to make meaningful colleague relationships. I just do not relate to the conversation and just find it hard to picture myself being a long-term employee. I’ve had better relationships when working at wal-mart when I was in college. I feel it takes away some of the joy of having to go to work.

Recent lateral junior associate in brand new practice where I'm the only associate.
