I’m a creativity researcher working on my dissertation on the psychology & neuroscience of creativity. I’m interested in understanding how different types of creative careers, side hustles, and artistic outlets relate to our emotions, mental health, & well-being. Ultimately to help build awareness, resources, & improve the lives of creative people.

That can't be right. Groceries are cheaper, gas is practically free, all wars have ended, and the government is functioning perfectly and super ethically. Haven't you been watching Fox News?
Well Elon deserves a trillion dollar package then.
He definitely does as I get paid first.
Our plans are much better, is that through your company? Rates have increased though.
Is that through your employer or some other source? My employer provided coverage is about $4,000 for a family with an unlimited number of children. $5400 family deductible, in network OOP cap is $9000. Out of network has a separate cap which I think is $14,000. So if you hit both the in and out of network cap it would be $27,000. I would bet that most people stay in network though.
Assuming your firm is similar to ours, the firm does not subsidize health insurance for its partners which I don’t disagree with. I have not checked for a while but a couple of years ago, I heard partners paying $3k a month for family ($36k a year). So although $50m a year sounds high it may not be too far off base. You should try the high deductible plan which will be cheaper

We pay $1200 / month on a private plan for a family of 5 (healthy family so opted for higher deductible).
Is that some sort of Cadillac Plan? Because you can get a decent ACA marketplace plan for a family of 4 for like $25-30K/year.
I have to add that as my child has medical needs wherein we use the Max family payout
