Max it out each year. First few years were a little tough but never changed my lifestyle. Now it’s smaller percentage but gotta get ahead of those 1 time tax advantages as much as you can
I always max my retirement accounts if I can afford to. The compounding of money when young, particularly for tax-free withdrawal, is incredibly powerful.
27. My first year out of school I think I contributed 10k, next year a little more, now I hit the max. Roughly 70k in the account as of now
6% into 401k. I get my firm’s full match but I’m definitely not maxing it out. Personally, I think the investment options for my firm’s 401k are abysmal and I put a majority of my savings elsewhere

32 year olds, max out every year, 270k
