I had joined KPMG(KGS) on April 2022, during the interview i have been told that i would be working on Java Backend Development as my background belongs to same technology and my interview was also happened on Java/Spring/Microservices; but they put me on Low-Code / No code Platform and its totally tool based work. I am frustrated with the current work as i didnt find anything productive to learn.Continued in com KPMG @

Wrong way down a one-way street
Switching over for 1-2 years is silly. If you want to move over....commit to staying 4-6 years.
Also keep in mind that your wlb will disappear. Are you ready to work 20-30 more hours per week.
What do you in the evenings now? Cause that stuff will be gone
Agree on WLB. Disagree that two years is silly- most folks coming straight out of college go in for 2 years and come out with a valuable skillset - But one year definitely won't get you anywhere.
What level are you at - L3? Because some folks in Marketing start at L3 and move to L4 in 2 years, making ~$200K then
Yup, L3. I have a handful of friends in Recruiting & Marketing that were able to work their way up levels a bit quicker but I think I’m looking at 5-6 years (given my ladder + org politics) to get to L5 right now.
