How to start prepping for MBB firms for associate roles with no prior consulting experience starting from recruiter screening call. the only thing i know is case in point book

How do referrals work?
If I get a referral from someone and I apply, then can I still reach out to a recruiter on LinkedIn expressing interest in the role? And do I let them know that I already applied? Hi Everyone, I completed all interview rounds at pwc Bangalore. HR said they will roll out the offer same day, already it's been 4 workings days since, still no sign of offer letter, although final HR round with compensation was completed and agreed. I called again yesterday, same reply that will get offer today, still no offer letter yet. I am also wondering, will I even get the letter or the HR just wants to delay intentionally.

In a Big4 deal Analytics group that’s not premier with no path to partner... should I try to move to MBB/T2 to gain traditional consulting experience or try for tech/FAANG... I just wanna make money

My career goal isn’t to make it to MBB or a unicorn or FAANG. It’s to feel fulfilled and challenged as I progress. I can’t be the only one that isn’t title or company chasing.

During interviews, how do you talk about the “result” or “impact” of a consulting project you were on? I know how to talk about the problem/recommendation portion of a sample project but the result/impact, I mean, as consultants we don’t see recommendations executed and actually generating results. So how do you talk about it?

What is the protocol with talking with recruiters? I'm not pre se looking to move right now but if something with more money and flexibility regarding location opens up then I'm not opposed.

Is it wrong to talk to them about possible opportunities?

I had my first round of interviews with Mckinsey last Friday. the first case was a disaster but the second case + both of the PEI were quite good. The thing is, my other lead progressed very well, it's also in the Private Equity space, an Investor Relations manager role, boring but good money. they pressed me to go through all the process by the end of the week but I won’t be able to advance much with McKinsey by then…Super stressed, what should I do?

Get thanked for my complimentary followup sent post-final interview. 48hrs later, same recruiter (on speakerphone) tells me job is now hold and "you must be upset" and good luck in your search.

Currently I work as a implementation consultant in a fast growing B2B SaaS company. We just recently received a funding round of 500M EUR, but I don’t have any stake in the company yet (only joined 5 months ago). I got an offer for EY-P but turns out the compensation is a bit lower than my current salary (~50kEUR). I’m really interested in strategy & PE cdd, but never done it before.
