3 years ago, the owner of the business brought me in specifically because he knows my work ethic. I have 20+ years of experience.

I do almost all of the engineering (manage 1 and occasionally 2 engineers), purchasing, source products, manage all projects, and occasionally travel for company business.

Tips negotiating for more vacation? He has a thing for 2 weeks vacation. He owns another business where all long-term employees have 2 weeks. Pay is very competitive and good environment.

I’ve been approached my by company that one of our large clients (who im currently project managing for) is looking for a consultant of sorts, and if they hire us, I’d be the first person asked to take on this consultant role. This isn’t something my company typically offers and would greatly change the scope of my role. Has anyone ever taken on a role like this? If so, were you able to negotiate a percentage of the consulting fee? Or was it a bump in salary during the project?

I was just offered a sales consultant role at a spirit’s distributor 65K with potential to make 75K if I meet goals etc. My dream job @ Red Bull, Similar role but way more fun around the same range of $$ possibly slightly more ..am still waiting to hear if I made it to the final round. I have until Friday to respond and Red Bull said they would let me know IF I made it to the final round by Friday.. should I reach out to Red Bull if I have not heard by Wednesday that I need to make a decision?

I had interviewed externally for a role on par w the internal roles, at a smaller and less established company. They confirmed +20% was in their range
