3+ years as a manager for a big corporation (2000+ employees). I was scouted by a small company (10 employees) for a director role. I’m not sure that I want to leave my current role, but things can’t continue the way they are for me (no upward trajectory, new micro-managey boss, etc). How do I initiate a discussion with my department exec or my boss about a new job offer and use it for some leverage to improve things or to see if there are future opportunities for me at my current company?

Any advice for someone trying to get a job as an electrical engineer with no formal degree? My current job has given me a ton of experience in this field. Engineers I've worked with have told me that I would check all the boxes in regards to what they want from an engineer except the degree.

Currently in risk consulting but seconding at an international bank for internal audit on trade related scopes. Recently got offered to join them at a higher level position. Need advice on career path of IA at bank if it's worth, because they pay would be gradually higher than consulting in the later years when reaching VP level and coming in from different industry, the new scopes are interesting. But what would I be missing out on if I stayed in consulting?

Hello Fishes.. I had applied for a position and had completed the cultural assessment. Received an automated mail that said “we will be in touch soon”. It’s been more than 20 days and haven’t received any communication. Should I expect any reply now? What’s the usual procedure like?

I have a question, I got a contract role through a recruiter. Initially the recruiter offered the hourly pay rate which was the minimum in my range. Now I got an offer from the company. Now without me asking her she increased the hourly wage to the maximum range I asked. Which makes me doubt if the company increased it or she knew the rate all along but gave me the lower rate ?

I am joining Deloitte soon, before putting down my notice with my current employer the background investigation team informed me that except the current employer all elements are completed and finalized. The Current employer verification will be done before the week of the start date.
