Got an interview with Amazon within their Advertising department. I hear working for Amazon can be great if you get into the right department. Anyone have insights to their advertising department? Good or bad? Also, would love some interview tips if you have them! (It’s for an Executive Assistant position) thank you!

It depends. General onboarding is one thing, but having an actual feel for the position takes time. I’m coming up on month 6 at a major startup and I’m finally getting my stride.
Couple weeks I guess? That’s what I’ve experienced. Keep in mind, you’re working from day while onboarding too.

It depends on how much they’ve thought about employee learning. If they’re smart, they might have a 30/60/90 day plan, with most of the learning focused on the 30-45 days so that you can sink into the new processes and terminology. If they’re small and disorganized, there’s no onboarding and you’re handed a computer and you need to figure out how to catch up.
I’ve been in some disasters. I always ask startups what their employee onboarding plan is when I’m interviewing with them.
