Yeah I get the math behind it all, thanks 🤦‍♂️

My point is in everyday conversation, if I say there is a 15% discount at this store and a 20% discount at that store, that’s a difference of 5%.

If I’m paying 5% on this card and 6% on that card, that’s a 1% difference. I know it’s technically wrong but it’s also just much easier.

A few months ago, there were articles about how Juniper Park/TBWA’s hand sign saved the life of a kidnapped girl in a car. But the next day, reporters asked the guy who called the cops about it and he said he had no idea what the hand sign meant, he actually called the cops because the kidnapped girl kept mouthing “Help me.” I’ve heard of agencies exaggerating sales results or click through rates in case studies, I really hope JP/TBWA isn’t exaggerating about, literally, saving someone’s life.
