I have 9.5 yrs of experience and am currently level 62 in Microsoft. I feel I should be Senior SE in Microsoft (level 63) but when I got microsoft offer last year the HR said it is the maximum they can give. Fixed base is 28 LPA. There is an upcoming appraisal cycle in September, so I wanted to ask how much can I expect Microsoft to adjust the base salary in this appraisal cycle ( given my performance was decent) ?

I’m in-house at a small company (60 people), started right out of law school about 5 years ago. We had a legal team of 5 then. Everyone has left and we just hired a new GC. I am currently working as a PayPal AWF/CW in contractor's payroll for the past 3 months. I heard many got converted from AWF to FTE. So what is the process for FTE conversion? Should I clear some Interviews? Also how much would the salary increment be? On par with regular hiring? Any minimum time limit of being in AWF before FTE conversion?

Heard ICIMS let go of 5% of their workforce today. Also heard that last week they acquired SkillSurvey.. must have cost a pretty penny.. better to keep the acquisitions going over keeping people employed

We all are educated people, working in MNCs, very good at what we do then why not earn more? You could open small business such as fast food corner or even small restaurant. This does not stop us doing our day job, after setting up your business you can just recruit right people seeing it and only small input would be needed from you. Opinion?

PF Transfer Issue:
I have recently moved to 3rd company in my career of 7 years.
When I joined my 2nd company I had transferred my 1st company PF to 2nd company (I used one transfer option in PF website)
But now when I'm trying to transfer my 2nd company PF to 3rd company PF account. It is pending from 2 months.
Has anyone tried transferring old PF to new PF account from 2nd to 3rd or 3rd to 4th PF account.
Kindly advise.
