I think I am more interested in VC/Growth vs late stage PE, but wanted to know more about the difference in comp between the two. I am looking at roles in London, so would be great to know whose comp is higher and who are the top payers for VCs/early growth.

Considering taking a position with a small-cap in the US trying to build their legal department. The title is standard “counsel” although the work would be with the senior leadership team and reporting to the GC in Europe. How reasonable is it to ask for a bump in title - Senior counsel or Head of Legal, US? If it matters, I am a 6th year and have been told that I will be expected to hire a junior or paralegal as we build up.

I feel left out in my firm. How do I make 'friends' with my colleagues? I've been here for a year. I am naturally not a very out going person, was never 'cool' and I struggle to speak in group situations / make engaging conversation with higher ups. It is an important trait to have in this job and I just don't know how to do this. It makes me very upset - I even sought therapy but wasn't useful. What does comp look like for PE ops associates?

Is working in VC Ops for a T10 Series A fund a good opportunity? This would be an internship preMba. I’m making a career shift as a vet and looking to land a VC investor role post b school (ideally HS) Anecdotally I understand seed and series A VC is very network based so this would be a chance to meet great folks, but ultimately not the investing experience I’m hoping for. Other internship options include start-up or consulting.
