Don’t let it get to you! Insurance companies are big business, they’re going to have the media on lock most days. Comes with the territory. Make them suffer and keep doing right.
Don’t let it get you down. 99% of those who criticize PI attorneys have never been seriously injured as a result of someone’s wrongdoing. They sing a different tune when they are the ones who need your help.
Who cares. What we do is rewarding and lucrative. Brush off the negative comments, especially since you know damn well they’ll be picking up the phone to call one of us the moment they or a loved one get hurt due to negligence.
lol when the checks roll in for my clients to get compensated, the happiness is uncontainable. I do not care.
I used to feel that way… I did ID and in house counsel and I make more $$ doing this and for me, it’s intellectually challenging and rewarding so I just ignore the noise
As ID-110k, as Sr. Counsel for a company-250k, as PI atty-330k. Hcol close to 15 years of experience

I feel like that sometimes. Family members and friends joke about it. I really don’t take offense to it anymore.
Yes, we are. At the end of the day, you have to know who you are. Big business controls the narrative, they will never be okay with being held accountable.
Yeah well, where else am i supposed to get someone's salary for 6 phone calls and a letter........
Crazy. Are you able to offer any context? I think we’re all a little curious what kind of PI case gets news coverage.
I worked in politics before becoming an attorney, and my experience there gives me two points to offer regarding public relations.
First, it’s just a fact and part of the game that at least 40% of the people don’t like you and are going to say bad things. And the things they say are very predictable. It’s not personal. And the people whose opinions you should care about don’t care about the comments because the comments are boring and predictable. Anyone whose opinion you care about scrolls past the comments that make you feel bad without giving them a second thought. No one is reading a comment on a local news story and being persuaded that you’re a bad person.
Second point is a little more in the weeds. But you can just call the reporter and complain if you think the story was biased. Reporters LOVE attention. They think they’re the central player in every story. There’s a decent chance you can get the reporter to do a follow up to make your client look better, assuming pitching such an article wouldn’t pose ethics problems. And assuming your client will garner sympathy. People think PI plaintiff’s are money grubbing. But usually when you explain how the plaintiff’s life has changed people get it.
I always feel that way until I see my fees and then IDGAF.
