Hahhha.
I don't think a person wanting to have a specific lifestyle is being entitled. If I'm getting my job done then it doesn't matter whether it's from a particular city or not.
I save tons of money back in my hometown. It's good for the economy because there's a more even distribution of spending and it's good for the environment because we won't be further burdening the overstretched ecosystems and infrastructure in large cities.
Maybe think about it. There are literally studies going on in developed countries like UK and Norway on remote work and 4 day workweeks. It turns out, that they have data to back up the improvement in productivity. Unlike your empty claims and rhetoric.
The same studies have also been about cultural impact and impact on mental health. Oh, how would you read about it. You aren't the ones who would be great in research, are you?
And no, my entitlement is not about having a particular lifestyle. I am talking about people who feel company should adhere to "their" needs. I'm sorry, company is the one paying you. They have every right to make their policy. Kindly stop whining and start working. If you do not like the policy, move elsewhere. Oh wait, everyone is calling back. Sad for you. Please sit at home jobless.
P.S. consider this my last reply.
If someone's nature of work allows him to do so, he certainly can. We prefer to work from home because we can. And because of the technology, so many lives get saved as well. Information technology is in every sector ,be it medical, defence or industrial.
Maybe our technology gets so advanced in the near future that a doctor can just sit at home and operate where high precision robots can do the task by mimicking doctor's action.
Also, He may not have to run and would have reached hospital in time if there were no traffic i.e. IT people working from home 😅
Inko local job bhi chahiye, remote bhi nhi chahiye, traffic bhi blame karenge, aur logo ka aana bhi nhi pasand. Aisa kaise chalega bhaiya
Rising Star
Remote work here to stay -> Companies already calling people back. So we will se about that.
Smaller towns benefit -> Other towns already creating office space. OFFICE SPACE. E.g. Indore, Ahmedabad etc. So companies are working on satellite offices.
Most big organization are back in offices. Let time decide who becomes a dinosaur.
I have way too much time on my hand? Yes I do! Lol. 😁
Quite -> Quit
And no, I have not seen productivity of team increase, infact dip due to multiple sync ups. Maybe in your case it has increased, good for you. But in our case we have seen people, a lot, slack. So we are back in the office, and so are most of the companies.
So let us do 1 thing. Save this thread. 1 year on, let us see what happens. If I am wrong, I would readily accept that. But trend seem otherwise right now. What say? Good luck
Bhai how can be operate from home
Hafte mei ek din karo, like techies in Hybrid 🤣
I'm curious, shouldn't company policies adapt to changing times.
Jb industrial age me Ford ne assembly chain introduce ki toh 6 days se 5 days workweek hua.
Aaj knowledge age me jee rhe ho toh kaise glt h k remote work hona chahiye. And good people management isn't k employees ko force kro vps aane.
Companies should be having conversations with employees k what works for them. Jisko jna h jao n Bhai. Pr jisko nahi jna h uspe gariya k ky hi kr loge. Tumhe ky nuksan k agla ghr se kaam kr rha h. Tumhe jna h ofc toh jao tum.
SDE3 - I have been working from home since 2017, I haven't faced any issues till now.
The last time I was in office was in Dec - 2016, I don't think it has reduced my productivity and neither the higher management felt like that.
They never told me that I need to be in office then only I can be productive.
I don't know what are you trying to prove here🤔🤔
Also, it's kind of sad that you wish people should lose their job in the upcoming recession.
It's one thing to state a fact, and a totally different thing to derive sadistic pleasure from potential deterioration of people's lives.
I wish you healing buddy. Hope you get better soon.
I derive pleasure when entitled folks are brought back to Earth and given some reality checks. Just love it.
Hahhhha.
Obviously it's your last reply. Because you are not able to respond point to point and just have a shallow rhetoric to fall back on.
Nah, because it is useless. You are anyways going back to office, no matter how much you debate.
I thought you weren't gonna reply to that one.
Really shows your grit and determination. And no, I'm not gonna go back for good. I don't mind going back to office if the role demands it.
But if it can be done remotely, then there's no point badgering employees to come back. Roles like audit, management consulting would require people to visit clients and meet colleagues.
Outsourced jobs don't have to be. And you're adamant to just state your point. You can't back it up with any relevant benefits.
Can you show up the social, economic and other benefits of people working from offices? The benefits of crowding up already crowded metro cities? The benefits of making those places less and less and less affordable and livable.
If you can, I'm happy to read through those. Maybe you'll change my mind. Maybe I'll see the light.
So help me understand your point.
Unless of course you're not gonna respond to this one as well just like you didn't respond to my last comment.
Damn! Got too much time on your hand. I like how you are all mad. But I won't entertain you with answers for your questions. And yea, there are answers to all of those. That is why companies are calling you back.

Apparently the central government thinks otherwise.
Still trying really hard. Misplaced efforts I'd say.
And you're still responding. 😌
Chief
Hi, circling back on this thread. How is your WFH going? I have heard companies have started even 5days from office. Oh, and layoffs. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yea. You are fun. 🤣
BTW, how is the office? Loving the free coffee? Enjoy while it lasts. Lol
His attitude loos like that of an Air India employee who used to boss around his subordinates but one day shit got real and he was doomed for eternity
