A friend of mine received an offer for $69k as an experienced audit associate at a mid market accounting firm. This is including the market adjustment raise for next year. Should they negotiate for a higher salary?

What would you do?

Industry accountant with 5 YoE, can move into senior position with $100k base, or lateral move into big 4 as associate in assurance AWM.

Interested in capital markets, PE, investment...Senior role is unreleated to these industries while PA role could potentially open doors? Just would hate not getting that salary bump after I can finally start seeing some real money after 5 years.....

Also potential advisory role in regional firm but nothing concrete...

My company blames my generation for not being able to hire everyday. “You guys don’t want to work” coming from some overweight, racist, old coaster. I’ve barely taken any days off this year and pick up “skeleton crew” days any chance I get.
