Kasowitz Benson - what is your opinion of them?
Does anyone have experience interviewing with Deloitte Internal Services? I had my final interview a week and a half ago, and received positive feedback throughout. The hiring manager had positive things to say and mentioned they hoped to make a decision by the end of last week. It’s now Friday the week after. The role still shows as “Interviews in Process.” We did discuss potential start dates, but no salary. Any experience with receiving offers for an internal services role? Is this common?

Sometimes you need to take those hits for your senior. As a staff, you can get away with mistakes that your senior can't. With that said, I always get approval from my staff before I throw them under the bus.
I think most people in PA don't know how ^
Senior should take the hit if it's their fault in any way. People who shove their own blame onto a staff are shitty leaders.
Some people don't know how to be a leader. See it a lot in PA.
You guys are too righteous. I frequently offer to have my senior manager blame things on me that I didn't do. Remember, it's all of us against our firms. The firm wants to divide you. Don't let them.
You scratch my back I scratch your back. Sounds like if you can get your staff to take a hit, you can repay them by giving them a ⭐️ review
I understand where you are coming from EY1 but the Senior person should be the one who takes the hit. Yes, some circumstances may vary but if they didn’t properly review what OP did it is on them. Now if OP was late or missed a deadline, then under the bus you may go OP, but again the Senior should have warned you.
EY1 I like you.... you are mad cool 😎
^Exactly!
Yeah never take responsibility for your own actions.
Part of having clients is handling mistakes and throwing your staff under the bus doesn’t really improve your situation with the client. Usually easiest to just acknowledge, apologize, and just move the fuck on already. Pointing fingers drags out the focus on the problem.
I don't throw staff under the bus with clients. That's a bad idea. I only do it internally.
If you throw them under the bus a gold star review doesn't mean shit. Managers talk at roundtables yknow.
^It is just a job. A game really. Got to learn to be a good player if you want to survive.
That's definitely one way of looking at it
