About to join a Big 4 in 3 weeks and just found out that I'm pregnant. Will I still be eligible for parental leave?

What are the exit opportunity differences between big 4 and regional? I’ve always felt like they are much more limited at any other PA firm aside from big 4

I have become frustrated with the profession (no discipline, labeling every student for something, students not prepared for grade level content, parents who don't really parent). Anyone with me?

Had a second baby almost a year ago now and just can’t get back into work mode. I used to be a workaholic and now can’t find any motivation in my current job. Most of it is probably sleep deprivation and feeling like I don’t have any time to myself anymore, plus burnout. Anyone go through this after having kids? How long did it last? I don’t have the option of simply quitting, but contemplating switching to a true 9-5, no-stress job, possibly out of law, while they’re young. But that’s scary.

Two years ago, I had an affair with a married man, a partner at a big 4 who was really sweet (and obviously toxic). Met at a bar in April … it was off and on until November (plus one night in December that ended very badly). I was in an awful place mentally and emotionally in my life, and sort of just blew up my life. I even quit my job (no, we didn’t work together), no notice, couldn’t get out of bed….. As a parent working from home, what are some educational resources to keep your children occupied while you're trying to work?

I live in a small studio apartment and my mother is visiting for just over a week from abroad. I’m anxious about being in each others face day/night since my desk faces my living space so I’m thinking of working from office all week as I don’t have time off. Any ideas on how I can make the space issue work and somehow keep her entertained?

What are some consulting companies in NY that do UX design? I know all the Big 4 & Accenture have acquired agencies, are there any smaller consulting firms that do it?

Baby furniture. What is everyone doing? FTM and trying to figure out if it’s worth investing in very expensive nursery furniture. We were looking at the Natart furniture collection and the Silva collections. These both come in at about $2000-$2400. The furniture is high quality and grows with the child. Alternatively I could go the lower end route at get everything for like $800. Is that wise? I hear horror stories about low quality and paint chipping from the baby teething on the crib.

Do law firms have tracking/trading checks in place like Big 4? If so, is it as strict?

Partners that have experience at MBB and B4+ACN - if you were to choose a firm, excluding the one you are at now, which one would you pick if the only criteria were: thought leadership, reputation with clients, and intellectual horsepower of colleagues.

Wife and kid are going to be out of town for the next 2 weeks. Instead of wasting time, I’d like to do something productive. What would you do if you have say 3+ hours a day. Maybe self help, wealth creation type books, work out daily, take care of some things around the house.

How many overtime hours pay did you all receive as an analyst? In my offer, it stated I will be eligible to receive overtime pay as a CDP analyst so how much more $$$ is that for the year? 3k? 5k? Etc I’m currently deciding between Accenture and big 4 right now.

I’m at the point that I start trembling every time I get an email alert. It’s the little things piling up that is getting to me. The to do list full of, “send emails to X about Y,” “follow-up re this,” “revise the 100 small things the baby lawyer drafted.” Tasks that might take 15 minutes to an hour individually, but all together it’s a lot. I’m the bottle neck. I’m the one who needs to move these things along. But there’s always something bigger and more urgent. Nothing’s ever FINISHED.

Recently 1 of my clients initiated open PTO policy. The transition from set leave balance to open was smooth process. However we are running into dilemma of how we standardize different types of leaves and whether there will be a limitation to how much open PTO is used at one time. For leisure, we just limit taking two weeks max at one time. However if we have volunteer policy or bereavement policy how should we standardize it? Hi, what is the number of days Cerner takes to release the offer letter? I have completed 2 rounds of technical interview and got confirmation from HR that the interview feedback is positive.
