Hello! If anyone is looking for fun virtual team events, I just did one through Airbnb that I highly recommend… I didn’t even know they offered them until I was referred on a thread here. I did a funny Greek historical game, but there are tons of cooking/magic/safaris/etc. that I thought I’d share because I was getting desperate for something other than virtual bingo!

Love it. We are encouraged to take time off. I think there should be a minimum amount of time to take. But my team averages probably 22 pto days a year. If not more. There are no meetings in TA that are THAT important to disrupt time off. Senior leaders are taking time off and setting a good example of being truly out of office.

I definitely agree and think it can vary by team within a company, and if the manager encourages it. I like the idea of the minimum amount of PTO to take!
I’m sure it depends on roles. In industries with billable hours targets, it doesn’t really work as intended, as in order to hit targets you are still limited in the amount you can take.
Last job had unlimited PTO…manager requested I take at least a week a quarter(we traveled a lot and worked long days)
Current job I have 21 days but my boss really doesn’t manage it.
I enjoy the unlimited PTO…but what I value most is a leader who makes sure I take my time as long as my priorities are met.
