Anyone have experience starting a new job for a week then leaving because you got a better offer (as in, was interviewing with both places at the same time, but one moved slower). Any huge red flags or issues?
MD at Accenture, Big4 or MBB vs Architect at FANG, what role has more total comp and better benefits?
Hi fellow fish! Assuming you get the invite, how much time do you have to schedule the HBS interviews? Is your timeslot assigned to you, or can you select yourself? I’m trying to figure out how much time I have to prepare
I think I asked for too low of a salary during initial interviews elsewhere. The recruiter never told me the band either. About to go into second round. Is there still a chance to ask for more?
How do you tell a recruiter that you are no longer interested in interviewing for a position without burning bridges? I spoke with HR and then the direct manager and realized it may not be a good fit for me. What do I say?
Does anyone have a name for what I'm looking for? Essentially, I'm looking for a resource to give to clients that really need to assess their current benefits and pay structure (and pay equity) in comparison to other organizations in the market and to provide the results and a roadmap of how to get where they need to be in order to retain and attract talent. Something like an HR Turnaround Consultant but I'm sure there is a better name?
Is anyone willing to share their hr budget per employee (excluding insurance/Heath benefits).
Hi Fishes, I am currently working with TCS as PL/SQL Developer. I have 5 years and 6months of experience. And my CTC is 6.47LPA (Including 54k variable pay) . I have cleared technical round interview at Infosys. Waiting for HR discussion. I am expecting 13LPA (including 10% variable pay). Will they offer job with this package? Or this expectations is too high? Thanks in advance
Is networking still key as an experienced hire? Networking was really helpful when I was applying to consulting as a student, because of the clear recruitment cycle most firms followed. Now that I’m looking to switch to industry, I’m looking at specific roles / depts at specific companies. Companies often seem to want to fill these roles quickly so no time to network, and on networking calls people can’t help as much if you are targeting a specific dept. any thoughts?
You move to a new state. What’s the best way to find a discernibly better real estate agent? I don’t know locals yet, so no reccos. Can you call a few and ‘interview’ them on the phone? What questions would you ask?

Hi everyone! I’m a young CPA, relocating to Raleigh. I made the decision to transition into sales after realizing that I want to bring more fun into my career. I’m currently reading sales books, watching Keenan’s YouTube channel, and learning all I can. I’m relentlessly applying for SDR positions but I’m having trouble landing interviews (been applying through LinkedIn). I would appreciate advice from anyone who transitioned from another industry into sales. How did you break the barrier?
Currently going through egg freezing at 36 and having a ton of regrets over not doing this earlier. I wish I had people in my life who were more honest and practical vs. Optimistic about having ‘plenty of time’ left and encouraged me to do this 4+ years ago. I’ve always known I’ve wanted kids I just haven’t met anyone yet. Here’s to hoping I only have to do 1 round because this shit is so expensive, even with my company’s benefits 🥺

Had my first interview this morning and the individual was wearing a mask. Kinda odd, but I guess this is the new norm.
Any interview advice for Stats / ML basic prep? Interviewing for a role I am qualified for (just landed same interview at Apple). They mentioned some Stats / ML questions will be involved but not sure how to prep. Tbh the role isn’t stat or ML heavy, it just deals with discussing and interacting with stakeholders of ML models.
My husband and I (both 27) max out our Roth IRAs each year, have a complete emergency fund, and I’m able to start maxing my 401K this year (he contributes 10% to his 401K - it isn’t possible for him to max his based on his current pay). We contribute 18% extra towards principal on our mortgage each month. We now have about $20k of additional savings we want to figure out what to do with. What would you recommend to someone who is new to stocks/investments?
Is anyone from McKinsey willing to answer a few questions about the interview process? Applied to a few roles. Wanted to find out if there is a way to increase the odds of getting an interview.

I currently work as a personal injury lawyer at a small law firm, 5 years experience, graduated from T30 law school in 2015. Our subject area is pretty niche, and I am looking to branch out. Not big law, but a different subject area, and hopefully something with a better work life balance (have a small child with hopes for more). Open to leaving the law for a compliance/HR/other type position. Am I even marketable for something like that? Am I being unrealistic?
