Accenture Strategy 🐟: what’s the Big 4 equivalent of Senior Manager or Principal? I understand Accenture Strategy may have a few additional layers compared to Big 4?

At B4, Senior Manager/Director is the highest level before PPMD.
After SM/D, you can be a non equity partner which is MD, equity partner without CPA which is Principal and equity partner with CPA which is Partner.

Before SM/D, there is usually Manager, SA/SC, Associate/Consultant. Pwc I think has an extra layer in between SM and PPMD I think. Deloitte has an extra level at the start called Analyst below A/C.

like

Strategy skips a few levels so we have:
Level 11: Analyst
Level 9: Consultant (there is a Senior Consultant but that is just so MBA hires are on their own pay scale. They are still level 9)
Level 7: Manager
Level 6: Senior Manager
Level 5: Principal Director
Level 4: Managing Director
Level 3 and below: Senior Managing Director.

SM is when business development becomes an official part of your job and you are considered part of the leadership of your local practice.

like

I have heard from some that Principal Director is reserved for special cases and you can go from SM to MD. Is it true?

like

Thank you this helps a lot; so the Level 5 in Manager 1’s post is “Principal” and is a level between a Big4 SM and PPMD?

There may come the point where constant meetings, being around the same people, or the same environment will cloud your creativity. When this happens, you may need time to yourself in a different environment to think clearly without any disturbance.

Great ideas can wake you up in the middle of the night, during a shower, while walking in the park, or any other setting outside of a meeting.
