There may come the point where constant meetings, being around the same people, or the same environment will cloud your creativity. When this happens, you may need time to yourself in a different environment to think clearly without any disturbance.

Great ideas can wake you up in the middle of the night, during a shower, while walking in the park, or any other setting outside of a meeting.

Why do we always tell people “Be the best version of yourself before starting a relationship?”
I feel this is wrong…first, if you’re someone who constantly wants to be better, this doesn’t work. Also, what happens when you’re going through things and you’re not the best version? What happens is…the going gets tough and then one person leaves the other.

Additional Posts in Burnout Talk

There are many reasons why people in the working world are not direct when speaking. They are one of the following:

* They pretend they are experts
* They are inexperienced
* They are full of themselves
* They don't know what they are looking for
* They love to talk

Even if these people have good intentions, be careful of them. Your time is valuable, and the best thing for you to do is to be direct back at them.

What's triggering you to feel exhausted, negative, or lose your motivation?

We all start our jobs full of hope and promise. That same hope and promise may still be there. However, the eventual grind or consistent overcommitment of anything will trigger you towards Burnout if you are not aware of them.

Be aware if you are consistently over-committing to something that will burn you out. Take breaks. Change your patterns. Whatever you need to do. Just don't overdo it.

There are five things you can change to overcome Burnout.

1) Behavior
2) Beliefs
3) Habits
4) Routine
5) Self

Notice that these five are all about you? You can only change what you can control and that starts with your inner work.

Are you aware of the difference between all five? If so, what do you need to change? COMMENT below!

Behavioral patterns dictate where you will be in the future. Positive patterns help you reach that future faster. Negative patterns delay or redirect the future you want for yourself.

You are in control of breaking a negative pattern. When things aren't going your way, there are things you are doing that are contributing to it.

Are you consistently: Working long hours, not communicating, or accepting negativity?

If what you are doing is negative for your standards, break the pattern

As you grow with your company and take on more responsibilities, delegation becomes MANDATORY to be effective in your role.

Just don't confuse delegation as an excuse to get away from tasks while you don't work on anything important. Rather, use it to grow efficiently by working on the most important tasks while others help you.

Here is an insight for you all today—key elements to living life with purpose.

Finding purpose in your life changes the way you think, behave, and communicate with others. You lose track of time because you are too busy enjoying what you have at the moment.

To find purpose in your life requires three key elements:

1) Presence
2) Values
3) Challenges

Without these three elements, you can never feel fulfilled and live life with a purpose.

Surrounding yourself with the right people can make a major impact in living the life that you want.

People who Teach, Empower, and Support you in every aspect of your life will fast-track your growth. Also, surrounding yourself with these people will give you an environment of freedom to talk about anything.

Do you have these types of people in your current relationships? If so, make sure you prioritize building on them as they are your keepers.

Think about your current situation. For example, what are you spending time on that is outside of your control?

- Are you trying to change someone's behavior/belief?
- Are you forcing someone to like you?
- Are you breaking someone's pattern abruptly?

Focus on making yourself better and what you feel you can control.

How do I nicely tell a director (not the one I report to) that I don’t want to work on a project that she’s trying to get me on? My manager and I already had a conversation about me not working on this specific thing (he and I both agree it isn’t something that’ll help my case for promotion, doesn’t need three people working on it, etc). Work doesn't have to cater towards someone else's structure constantly. Find what works for you.

Being good at your job includes knowing how to maximize your efficiency, from knowing what times you are most productive, creative, responsive, and energetic.
