Currently in IBM at Band 9 (Austin,TX) and getting around 195k base. Just been approached by EY recruiter for Senior Manager position. Wondering if I should consider exploring it or not! What could be pay range for a Senior Manager in EY? Also, what career level of IBM is it equivalent to ? (Band 9 or Band 10)?

Thoughts on moving from med tech to manufacturing? I moved from in-house tech to in-house med tech a couple years ago. A CRO offerred me an internal consulting/biz dev role. They offered 145k TC (20% bump) and slightly better benefits. They also offered accelerated path (6mo to 1yr) to MC. While promotion to MC at my current company is at least 1 year away. The job is interesting to me and fits my careery goal. Its hard to be positive nowadays in any work. When I joined IT industry i thought in IT we will not have politics and shit but its there. Ppl dont want to work together. They just want to keep their power. They achieve something and they wanna keep it anyhow. Its really sad. You wanna work with your open heart but ppl above you wont let it because in the end their position will be in danger. Why would be in danger? You know stuff, you have knowledge, you can grow more and more. Right??

I got a job offer from a new company so I signed the offer letter and received the company laptop and they have created login credentials for me but my date of joining was after 15 days. Then I have submitted the resignation on current company. Now my current company found that I have accepted the offer for new company and got their laptop. Now they are asking me to pay 1.5 lakhs for giving the experience letter saying dual employment and breach of trust.

How can I handle this situation
