Hey there!
I am a Masters Student majoring in Machine Learning. I am in my first semester and I am kind leaning to explore Data Science as well. Could any Professional Data Scientists help me out on getting started? What skills do I focus on? What kind of projects should I have on my portfolio?
I have tried looking this info out in the internet but its all overwhelming. Hoping to get some honest guidance here!
Has anyone taken the CAIA ? Any tips ?

Hey, I have 4 YOE and currently a manager at PwC and have been managing teams for a little over a year now. My role mainly consists of leading teams of engineers deliver MVPs to our clients.
If I wanted to exit to Google or Facebook (Meta) what role would align for me? I was looking at engineering manager roles but unsure if that’s too senior for me.

If you have options, don’t stay at Accenture and I say this as your fellow Accenture employee.
From my peers and friends PwC has a lot better culture. If you want a more tech focused experience probably Accenture. But Accenture is slowly turning into a staff Aug (contractor) so not as much “true” consulting work as the past.
What are staff Aug roles? In any case, the consultant is a contractor in any consulting project
I think all the consulting firms are relatively the same. Certain groups burn harder than others, some projects are great and others are challenging. There are some actual differences like ACN being a public company and PWC being a partnership. There are also some different rules around independence with PWC.
Benefits may differ slightly but for the most part they all net out about the same.
All of these companies (MBB, Big4, Tier 2) require a strong work ethic and the ability think/learn quickly in order to succeed

PwC. Not even close.
I might be biased but PwC. Even though I’d never work there again (at least not as a consultant) I think it’s the better of the two. But also just follow the bigger pay bc while I still prefer PwC slightly in the industry they aren’t too different.

If you want to focus on IT, Accenture is likely a better option. Anything else, I'd go with PwC.
